Navigating your dashboard

HealthSherpa’s dashboard will help you manage all of your Marketplace business. You can track leads, enrollments and much more. 

 

Enhanced Direct Enrollment

Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) is a new CMS technology. HealthSherpa was the first to implement EDE and is one of the only enrollment platforms that has this new technology.

Enhanced Direct Enrollment allows HealthSherpa to fully integrate with Healthcare.gov so you can do applications entirely on HealthSherpa without being redirected to healthcare.gov. 

Turning EDE on

Before you can access the benefits of EDE, you will need to get EDE approved. You can do this in less than a minute by clicking on, “Get EDE approved!” from your dashboard. 

Once you are EDE approved, you can do all Marketplace follow ups directly from HealthSherpa: 

Because HealthSherpa is fully integrated with healthcare.gov you can do all of the following directly on HealthSherpa: 

  • Get current status of application on Healthcare.gov

  • Identify required follow ups

  • Make first payment

  • Upload documents

  • Report Life Changes

  • Renew plans (with pre filled applications!)

  • Download eligibility results and 1095A tax forms

  • Plus more

 

How to Quote

You can start a quote by clicking on the, “Quote” button on the top of your dashboard. 

 

Here are just a few things you can do when quoting: 

  • Shop for the plans available based on zip code

  • Identify initial eligibility and savings

  • Filter by premium, deductible, metal levels, network type and more

  • Additional filters for prescription drugs and providers

  • You can also share a quote with your client via email

 

Applications

Because HealthSherpa is fully integrated with healthcare.gov through Enhanced Direct Enrollment, once you get EDE approved you can submit applications directly on HealthSherpa without being redirected to healthcare.gov. 

Renewal applications are even easier! Renewals will be prefilled with your client’s information. 

Most agents can complete a new application in less than 10 minutes (renewals are even faster).

A small number (~5%) of applications with “complex cases” will require a redirect to healthcare.gov, but don’t worry, HealthSherpa will identify these for you and redirect you to healthcare.gov when necessary.

 

Post enrollment tools & App maintenance

With Enhanced Direct Enrollment, maintaining applications can be done directly from HealthSherpa. Once you have completed an enrollment, you can do all of the following directly from HealthSherpa.

  • Make first payment

  • Upload documents

  • Report Life Changes

  • Change Plans

Adding clients to HealthSherpa

You can also add a client that already enrolled on healthcare.gov (or another Marketplace platform) to HealthSherpa!

To do this, use the Search Marketplace button on the top of your dashboard to find and add clients to HealthSherpa. Once added, you can maintain those apps completely on HealthSherpa.

 

HealthSherpa’s Referral Program for Blue Apps.

HealthSherpa’s referral program is designed to help agents get paid for applications they would not usually get paid for. 

Turn on your referrals feature and we will pay you for any applications with carriers that you can not get appointed with. (FL Blue)

How it works

When you turn referrals on, each time a client chooses a FL Blue plan, you can refer this client to HealthSherpa. HealthSherpa will become the Agent of Record and send you a referral payment for every successful application. This includes SEP applications!

Because HealthSherpa only writes ACA, you can continue working with these clients for any other insurance products you are writing. 

Important: Please ensure that the states you are licensed in and the carriers you are appointed with are always up-to-date — when your referral setting is on, this is how we know which carriers you are appointed with.

Using the Help Center

You can chat with HealthSherpa directly from your dashboard by clicking on the chat icon in the bottom right of your dashboard
